This collection is comprised of typed genealogical research, handwritten family correspondence, legal papers, manuscripts, financial records, and miscellaneous papers. The collection includes primarily the correspondence of the Crew family, including Jonathan Butler, John Crew, Lemuel Crew, Margaret Crew, Micajah Crew, W.H. Crew, J.B. Ferguson, Elizabeth Howell, P.B. Price, Samuel Price, and Elizabeth Terrell. There are also financial documents, a property map, a narrative regarding the events of the Revolutionary War as a testimony against war, and a will. Correspondence topics include attending Meeting, westward migration and its effect on Quaker Society, mentions of Stephen Grellett and Eliza Gurney, the War of 1812, family life, and Quaker Meeting dealing with social issues.

Personal correspondence of various members of the Crew family.
Includes a photocopy of a letter, one page of the lineage of Alfred the Great to Charles William Stam, from chapter 1 of "The Stam Family History." Also includes two and a half pages of the Crew family lineage, photocopied from "The Stam Family History."
Will of Margaret Crew as taken down by M.M. Crew, 1826.
Handwritten narrative of "events during the revolutionary war: a testimony against war." Signed by Micajah Crew, James Ladd, and Benjamin Ladd, and photocopy.
