Overview and metadata sections

This information has been gathered from internal sources, and is the best speculation regarding the individuals in this album.

Mont. M. Mills. Records from the State Highway Department of Pennsylvania connect him with a vehicle pictured in the album with the license plate 99061 in California, Pennsylvania in June, 1917.

Drumm children. Two photographs of infants in the album are labeled with the last name Drumm. This family was potentially located in Philadelphia.

This album contains 388 photographs related to the Drumm and Mills families, often during trips taken in their automobiles. The photos are mainly portraits, showing the personality of the family members. There is a large assortment of individuals shown in the photos, however only two are labeled with names. The Mills family could potentially be based in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, or more specifically East Renovo, Pennsylvania, as some of the photographs appear to have been taken there. There are photographs of early automobiles, a circus parade, circus posters, a sign for Penn State Forestry Camp, and various vacation destinations. The families appear to have documented their excursions to the beach, Gettysburg Battlefield, Mount Vernon, and other outdoor locations.

Photographs are arranged in original order, roughly chronologically. They are grouped together by excursion and/or group of people.

The Drum / Mills Family photo album was purchased by Special Collections, Haverford College in 2015 from Garrett Scott.
