Overview and metadata sections

After the murder of George Floyd by police, the Uptown Artist's Association invited artists from across the Twin Cities to paint murals and other art on boarded up windows of businesses. As the barricades began being taken down, Weinstein wanted to document the art, so he began to take photos, eventually amassing over 100.

Jack Weinstein is a member of the Haverford class of 2023, where he was a politicial science major.

This collection contains 16 photographs taken by Jack Weinstein (HC '23) taken in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota during 2020. The photographs were featured in an exhibition in Lutnick Library in Fall 2021 called "The Art of Politics."
