Abstract:
This collection contains the records of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Records Project compiled between the years of 1984 and 1989. Included in the collection are the published materials of the project, processing plans, photographs, notes, and scanned copies of the listing of archival records for this Meeting, for individual Yearly Meetings, Quaker Meetings, and Monthly Meetings.

The Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Records Project was started in 1986 by the Quaker Collection of Haverford College Library, in conjunction with the Friends Historical Library, and with grant-funding from the Pitcairn-Crabbe Foundation, various Philadelphia Quaker funds, and two Pennsylvania state agencies, with the intention of collecting and describing the archival records of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting and its affiliates. Over the course of the three year project, a detailed inventory of the records available at both Haverford and the Friends Historical Library was compiled, and a detailed guide to the records was prepared by archivist Jack Eckert.

This collection contains the records of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Records Project compiled between the years of 1984 and 1989. Included in the collection are the published materials of the project, processing plans, photographs, notes, and scanned copies of the listing of archival records for this Meeting, for individual Yearly Meetings, Quaker Meetings, and Monthly Meetings.

This collection is arranged in four series: Project Records, Yearly Meetings and Quaker Meetings, Monthly Meetings and Preparative Meetings, and Published Materials.
