The Friends School Fund (also known as the Friends School Society) was formed in 1789 for school buildings, salaries of teachers, and scholarships for students, under the care and direction of the Plainfield, New Jersey Preparative Friends meeting, in particular for "poor children."
This collection pertains to the activities of the Friends School Fund of the Plainfield, New Jersey Preparative Friends Meeting. It is composed primarily of legal and financial materials.
This collection has two series, legal and general fund papers. The latter includes financial papers, minutes, and correspondence related to the activities of the organization.
