Carl Fischer, MD (1902-1989) graduated from Princeton University, 1924, and Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, 1928. Following post graduate work in St. Louis and New York he returned to Hahnemann in 1930 as a faculty member, pediatric physician, and researcher, and was chair of the Department of Pediatrics 1945 - 1967. The Carl C. Fischer, M.D. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Hahnemann University Hospital was named in 1980. This collection reflects general activity at Hahnemann including addresses and lectures, an autobiography, departmental correspondence and correspondence regarding homeopathy, original photographs, and materials on the history of the Hahnemann Club.
