William L. Du Bois, a Catskill, N.Y., wholesale and retail pharmaceutical firm, was established in 1795.

Two volumes of business records, 1875-1876 and 1885-1886, of William L. Du Bois, Catskill, N.Y., pharmaceutical firm. Volumes contain orders and prescriptions assigned sequential number in roughly chronological order, nos. 19200-20404 and nos. 37131-39187. Prescriptions for individuals are authorized by physician and include patient's name and dosage directions; two Catskill physicians whose prescriptions occur frequently are Nelson Fanning and Charles E. Willard. Includes many wholesale orders from physicians, pharmacies, and institutions in New York and Vermont.
