Volume contains notes taken by an unnamed student on lectures of Philip Syng Physick on surgery, probably in the Department of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania, circa 1805. The lectures are numbered 1-14 in part 1 and 15-26 in part 2. Major subjects are: inflammation; ulcers; the treatment of fractures, wounds, and head injuries; diseases of the eye and cataract surgery; and amputation. Index to subjects included in part 2.
