Abstract:: Neil Benson is a Philadelphia-based photo journalist whose photographs were featured in local and national publications, both alternative and mainstream, such as The Drummer, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Time, and many more from the 1970s to the 1990s. Born in the Logan neighborhood of Philadelphia in 1953, in 2000 Benson shifted his focus to creating works of art from found objects and recycled materials. The Neil Benson photographic collection, 1965-2005 (bulk 1970-1992), largely consists of photographs in various formats taken by Benson during his career as a photo journalist from the 1970s through the 1990s. Tear sheets from and issues of publications in which Benson's work was featured, as well as some ephemera and office files are also present in the collection. Abstract:: Arthur "Art" Rosenblum (circa 1928-2002) was a community enthusiast, peace activist, and artist, known for founding the Aquarian Research Foundation. This collection was by compiled by Rosenblum's friend and fellow radical activist Bill Goring of New York, New York, and consists primarily of Rosenblum's published writing (newsletters and articles), as well a letter and some notes about the Bruderhof, dating from 1968 to 1970.

Abstract:: Grassroots activism for peace and disarmament in the 1960s and 1970s was powerful and widespread. The Collection of Philadelphia peace materials offers an assortment of newsletters, informational and event flyers, donation requests, and correspondence from 1961 to 1977. Activist organizations included are from in and around Philadelphia--the Brandywine Alternative Fund, SANE Nuclear Policy, Philadelphia's chapter of the Student Peace Union (SPU), the N.Y.C. People's Life Fund, and miscellaneous letters on the peace movement and donations. All organizations advocate against war and military spending, and instead promote resistance and peaceful action.

Michener Art Museum, located in Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is an independent, non-profit cultural institution dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and exhibiting the art and cultural heritage of the Bucks County region. Opened in 1988, the museum is named for Doylestown's most famous son, the Pulitzer-Prize winning writer James A. Michener. James A. Michener Art Museum Archives small collections on Bucks County artists, photographers, and significant individuals, circa 1841-2014, consist of small amounts of papers, scrapbooks, photographs, artworks, audiovisual materials, exhibition catalogs, blueprints, and other items from individual artists, photographers, and significant figures associated with Bucks County.

Abstract:: Allan Wayne Solomonow (1937-2020) was a Jewish peace activist who was active in New York City and the San Francisco Bay area from the 1970s through the 2010s. His particular concern was Middle East peace, especially the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This collection documents Solomonow's life's work and primarily comprise his professional papers related to the Jewish peace community as well as collected secondary material that informed his thinking.
