Abstract:: Originally settled in 1738, Sellersville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania was incorporated as a borough in 1874. In the second half of the 19th century, cigar, textile, and other industries established companies in Sellersville. As of 2014, Sellersville is mainly a commuter town, although some historic structures, including the Sellersville Theater and the Washington House, have been restored and are local attractions. The Sellersville Museum local history collection, 1770-2014, contains both primary and secondary-source materials, such as business ledgers, deeds, scrapbooks, photograph albums, newspaper clippings, and subject files relating to the people, businesses, organizations, and other aspects of Sellersville.

Abstract:: Walter Emerson Baum (1884-1956) was an artist and educator based in Sellersville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Trained at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), Baum was a prolific painter, founded the Baum School of Art and the Allentown Art Museum, and published writings about art and about the history of the Pennsylvania Germans. The Walter E. Baum family papers, circa 1920-1955, pertain to Walter, his son Robert, and his grandson, David. Materials from Walter include some draft writings, clippings and ephemera, and several original sketches. There are also photographs and household bills in the collection.

Abstract:: Dr. Clyde R. Flory (1892-1963) was a physician based in Sellersville, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Navy as a navigator in World War I and as a captain and medical officer in World War II. During his wartime service he invented a special traction bar to cut the amount of equipment used to reduce fractures, and also discovered a new technique for the cure of syphilis. The Clyde R. Flory film reels and death certificates, circa 1930-1950, consist of nearly 200 death certificates from the USS Savannah and about one dozen film reels (16mm and 35mm).

Abstract:: U.S. Gauge, a manufacturer of gauges and testing devices to measure pressure, temperature, flow, and liquid level, was founded in Sellersville (Bucks County, Pennsylvania) in 1904. It was acquired by Ametek, Inc. in 1944 and continues to operate as a division of that company as of 2014, although the manufacturing facilities in Sellersville closed down between the 1980s and the 2000s. The Sellersville Museum collection on U.S. Gauge, 1905-circa 1990, consists largely of U.S. Gauge Social Club newsletters (1935-1941) and photographs; there are also some additional printed materials and an original payroll ledger (1905-1906).

Abstract:: Grand View Hospital in Sellersville was the first hospital in Bucks County, Pennsylvania upon its founding in 1913. Two years later it opened a Nurse's Training School, the only one in Bucks County. The hospital is still in operation as of 2014. The Grand View Hospital Auxiliary collection, circa 1913-2013, includes a large quantity of scrapbooks and publications and ephemera, as well as some photographs and a small amount of correspondence and other documents.
