- Abstract:
- Quakertown, Pennsylvania, incorporated in 1855, is a town located in the northeast portion of Upper Bucks County. The town remained quite small until the mid-nineteenth century, when the construction of the North Pennsylvania Railroad helped turn it into a significant commercial center. The Quakertown Historical Society photograph collection, circa 1865-1990, consists primarily of framed photographs, including panoramas, that depict the people and places of Quakertown. There is a large proportion of group photographs, especially Quakertown High School class and sports team photographs.
