Jacob (1867-1957) and Emily (1869-1954) Peat were Methodist missionaries who served in various locations in China and Sumatra from 1893 to about 1934. The Jacob and Emily Peat photographs, letters, and postcards, 1924-1944, consist of letters, two photograph albums, loose photographs and postcards from the Peats. The letters in the collection are addressed from the Peats to their son, Dr. Harry Gaskill Peat, in Ohio.

Edythe M. Flower (1892-1926) was a Presbyterian Church missionary in China, from 1920 to 1926. The Edythe M. Flower diary and photographs, circa 1920-1924, consist of a handwritten diary, September 1921-October 1922, three photograph albums depicting scenes of China, circa 1920-1924, and three loose photographs of Edythe Flower in her home in China during Christmas 1922. There are also some negatives in the collection.
