- Fort Washington, Pennsylvania (now a part of Upper Dublin Township and Whitemarsh Township) was settled in the 18th century by German immigrants and is known for its role in the Revolutionary War. The Historical Society of Fort Washington subject files, 1832-2010, are on topics of local interest, such as churches, schools, and businesses; monuments and historic sites; battles and wars; family genealogies and genealogical research aids; mills and farms; etc. Most of the collection consists of newspaper clippings and secondary histories, but there are some pamphlets, photographs, and scattered primary materials.
