Abstract:: The Roberts family were Quakers from Gwynedd, Pennsylvania. They, including Caroline Roberts, were involved in Gwynedd Friends Meeting. This collection contains photographs from a Caroline Roberts scrapbook, which has been dismantled and placed in envelopes. The pictures include portraits of Roberts family members, and family homes.

Abstract:: Pendle Hill is a Quaker study center located in Wallingford, Pennsylvania. This collection contains mainly color photographs from 1997 and 1998. These photos are of the Quaker Peace Roundtable, with photographs by Marge Shier and possibly held at Swarthmore meeting house, along with the Conference on Friends and the Vietnam War, 2000, with photographs by Wilmer Tjossem.

Wilmer J. and Mildred Binns Young photographs, 1918-1990 (inclusive)

Abstract:: Wilmer J. Young (1887-1983), a Quaker teacher and peace activist born in Iowa, was involved in post World War I reconstruction in France and Poland. He married Mildred Binns in 1922, and together they worked with AFSC work camps and cooperative farms until he began to teach at Pendle Hill in 1955. This collection of photographs documents their work and personal life.

Quaker Emergency Service lectures, 1944

Abstract:: The Quaker Emergency Service was founded in January 1942 by members of the combined Peace and Service Committees of the two New York Monthly Meetings. In the spring of 1944, the Service sponsored a series of lectures focusing on adolescent psychology which were held in the French Institute building, 22 East 60th Street, New York, New York.

Patricia Loring papers, 1982-2015 (inclusive)

Abstract:: Patricia Loring was a Quaker author, teacher, and retreat leader, most active in her related work in the 1980s and 1990s. She was the author of a widely read Quaker spiritual guide, Listening Spirituality, vols. 1 and 2. For eight years her ministry was supported by Bethesda Friends Meeting, Bethesda, Maryland. This collection includes a variety of Patricia Loring's papers, largely beginning when she joined the Religious Society of Friends. Much of the collection consists of papers from workshops she lead, which include schedules, readings, correspondence, and notes. Also included in this collection are drafts of her books and other writings, correspondence, and private journals.

Tyson before his death in 1945. It includes his correspondence with genealogists and local historians regarding Quaker families and property in Adams and York Counties, Pennsylvania.
