The core of the collection was donated by James T. Shilcock (1919-2011), owner of Shilcock Realty Company, and the Lower Merion Historical Society has since added to it. The township of Lower Merion in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania was first settled by Welsh Quakers in 1682. It is part of the "Main Line," a collection of affluent Philadelphia suburbs located alongside the Pennsylvania Railroad line that was built between Philadelphia and Harrisburg in the mid-19th century.

Abstract:: At the turn of the 20th century, the Roberts family of Lower Merion, Pennsylvania decided to consolidate its remaining farm land and form the Lower Merion Realty Company. The company successfully developed land along a new train line, conveniently constructed under the direction of Pennsylvania Railroad president George Brooke Roberts. The collection "Lower Merion Realty Company minute book, photographs, and brochures, circa 1880-1952," contains the minute book of meetings of Stockholders and Directors, 1906-1952, and one binder of photographs with two brochures.

The Jaytee Corporation mostly dealt with industrial properties in and around Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and ended when Jordan retired. The Robert N.
