Abstract:
The Margy and Martin Meyerson collection consists of over 100 items, including ephemeral pamphlets, maps, photographs, brochures, bulletins, policy papers, booklists, investment prospectuses, tourist industry material, as well as government publications, off-prints, monographs and individual serials volumes, documenting the early decades of the modern State of Israel. Especially notable are four beautiful hand-painted Oriental, perhaps Kurdish, Jewish amulets.

Elihu Grant Beth-Shemesh excavation records, 1928-1933 (bulk) 1928-1964 (inclusive)

Abstract:
Located approximately 12 miles west of Jerusalem, this site was originally excavated in 1911 and 1912 by Duncan Mackenzie for the Palestine Exploration Fund. Under the sponsorship of Haverford College, Haverford professor Elihu Grant undertook excavation at this mound from 1928 to 1931 and again in 1933. When the Bet Shemesh (Ain Shems) artifacts, known as the Haverford Collection, were purchased by the University Museum in 1962, the field notes, notes on pottery, plans, drawings, photographs, and correspondence relating to these finds were also acquired.

Sam Frank (1920-2007) was a Jewish photographer who documented Israel and its people from the 1950s to the 1970s. The collection consists of almost 1500 images (in the forms of print, contact print/sheet, and negative) of many aspects of life in the newly established state of Israel.
