Mary Rawson Bush (1790-1841) traveled from England throughout Europe from November 1822 to at least March 1823 with her husband Major General William Bush (1790-1854). The couple traveled through France and the Alps to Italy, via a carriage, stopping at inns along their route. Mary's commentary details their travels in the carriage, their stops in cities, museums visited, and her opinions of her experience.
