The Friends of the Wissahickon (FOW) is a 1,600 member, non-profit organization founded in 1924. Wissahickon Valley Park, designated a National Natural Landmark in 1964, is a spectacular 1,800-acre forested gorge that is part of Philadelphia's Fairmount Park system. The Friends of the Wissahickon records, circa 1965-2011, includes printed brochures and publications, newspaper clippings, correspondence, financial records, and administrative records.
