- Abstract:
- Quakertown, Pennsylvania, incorporated in 1855, is a town located in the northeast portion of Upper Bucks County. The town remained quite small until the mid-nineteenth century, when the construction of the North Pennsylvania Railroad helped turn it into a significant commercial center. The Quakertown Historical Society local history "blue books," circa 1842-2013, consist primarily of newspaper clippings, with a fair amount of primary-source documents including photographs, ephemera, and scattered original documents, all pertaining to the subject of Quakertown and its history.
