- Lewis S. Coryell (1788-1865) was a lumber dealer and political leader in New Hope, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The Lewis S. Coryell correspondence, 1832 and 1949-1962, consists almost entirely of letters received by Coryell in the year 1832. Subjects include business and politics, especially the 1832 Presidential election, and the building of the Delaware Canal at New Hope. Also included is one folder of materials of Mrs. James Neale about the sale of the Coryell property, 1949-1962.
