- Cornelius Nolen Weygandt was born in Philadelphia in 1832 and had a career in banking at the Western Bank, located on the south side of Chestnut Street just west of Fourth Street, in the heart of Philadelphia's nineteenth-century financial district and lived most of his married life in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. The Cornelius Nolen Weygandt Papers consists of personal diaries and related correspondence and ephemera that chronicle Weygandt's life from 1849 – 1907.
