Abstract:: Decorative calendars have a long and varied history. Those marketed to the LGBT community began to flourish in the 1970s with the advent of the gay liberation movement. The LGBT calendar collection contains various sorts of historic calendars with an LGBT theme including those aimed at gay men which feature nude or nearly nude male models, and those that celebrate or commemorate other aspects the LGBT community.

International Communication Association records, 1946-2016 (inclusive)

Abstract:: Originally established in 1950 as the National Society for the Study of Communication, the International Communication Association (ICA) has grown to be the largest worldwide academic organization devoted to the systematic study of communication. The collection is composed primarily of administrative records created and/or collected by various officers from 1946 to 2016, and serves to document the association's development over the years. Materials include correspondence, board meeting minutes and reports, bylaws and constitutions, conference proceedings, division records, financial records, membership records, and publication records.

Saint Joseph'S University Records, 1851-2019

Abstract:: The Saint Joseph’s University Records (formerly Saint Joseph’s College) houses the institutional, and organizational records of Saint Joseph’s University. This collection, which dates from 1851-2019, with bulk dates of 1960-1990, consists of photographs; including negatives and slides, correspondence, documents; including records, minutes, memoranda and reports, ephemera, objects, memorabilia; including audio and video recordings, scrapbooks and yearbooks which document and evidence the history of the administrative and academic units and activities of SJU’s administration, faculty, staff and students. Because of SJU’s association with Old Saint Joseph’s Church and the English and French Jesuits who founded it, this collection not only documents the University’s history and activities but adds to the knowledge of Catholic History in the City of Philadelphia and its surrounding areas. Abstract:: Friends Committee on Unity with Nature (FCUN) grew out of the Workshop on Living in Harmony with the Natural Environment at the FGC Gathering at Oberlin in 1987. In 2001, sixteen North American yearly meetings appointed representatives to its Annual Meeting. In 2003, their name was changed to Quaker Earthcare Witness. The group publishes a newsletter, BeFriending Creation.

Fisher-Whitson Family Papers, 1778-2011 (inclusive)

Abstract:: This collection contains manuscripts and other materials relating to the Whitson, Smedley, Fisher and other Quaker families of southeastern Pennsylvania. Along with commonplace books, correspondence, and photographs are a series of thematically arranged genealogical binders assembled by the donors. Of particular interest are the battlefield correspondence of Sam Smedley who was killed in the American Civil War and the journal of Esther Whitson, later Cope, who served as a nurse with the AFSC in Russia in the early 1920s

Rebecca Chopp papers, 2009-2015 (inclusive)

Abstract:: Rebecca Chopp was the 14th President of Swarthmore College (2009-2014). She is a well-known scholar of religion and American culture. While at Swarthmore, Chopp researched changing structures and cultures of higher education, the role of liberal arts in a democratic society, and religion and higher education. She resigned from Swarthmore College in 2014 to become the 18th Chancellor of the University of Denver. This collection includes correspondence, speech texts, and other documents from Chopp's time as Swarthmore College President. Also included are similar documents from Interim President Constance Hungerford, 2014-2015.

Abstract:: The Swarthmore College Women's Resource Center was founded in 1974. It was named the Alice Paul Women's Center until the name was changed in the early 1990s to the Women's Resource Center.
