Abstract:: Newtown, the county seat of Bucks County from 1726 to 1813, is one of the most historic areas in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The Newtown Historic Association photograph collection, circa 1870-2013, consists of roughly 15,000 original photographs organized by subject and format. Some of the subjects documented include agriculture, events, parks, people, streets, organizations, schools, and businesses. Special formats include large-format photographs, panoramas, tintypes, and glass plate negatives.

Abstract:: Michael J. Donovan is a resident of Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and U.S. Coast Guard veteran who for the past 50 or so years, has researched Newtown's history during times of war, particularly Newtown veterans. Mike Donovan research on Newtown during wartime, 1870-2013 (bulk 1960-2013), consists of primarily secondary-source materials, such as narrative histories (many written by Donovan), research notes, newspaper clippings, and copies of original documents and photographs with a fair amount of primary-source documents that Donovan acquired from the families of veterans, such as photographs and letters.
