The papers consist of notes, drafts, dummies, published volumes, sketches, illustrations, color separations, proofs, and promotional materials for published and unpublished works written between 1955 and 1974. Titles represented include The Three Robbers, Moon Man, Crictor, Flat Stanley, the Mellops series, and Adelaide, among others.

Abstract:: The papers of Pennsylvania children's author Lucille Wallower contain typewritten drafts and illustrations for many different works, including Colonial Histories: Pennsylvania, A Conch Shell for Molly, The Hippity Hopper: or, Why There Are No Indians in Pennsylvania, Indians of Pennsylvania, The Lost Prince: Louis XVII of France, The Morning Star, The New Pennsylvania Primer, Old Satan: A Pennsylvania Folk Tale, Your Pennsylvania, and others. Many of the works represented in this collection were created specifically for use in the classroom. The collection also contains magazine clippings of Marguerite de Angeli's work, which influenced Wallower.
