Geddes Mumford (1925-1944) was the son of Lewis and Sophia Mumford and a World War II soldier who was killed in action. In the years before his death, he was romantically involved with Ann Louise Kessinger Parr, who collected and saved material relating to Geddes's service, death, and memory.
