Allinson Family Papers, 1710-1939 (inclusive)

Abstract:: This collection spans more than two centuries and includes most notably members of the Allinson and Taylor families. There are also letters from Joseph Bonaparte, Sarah Moore Grimke, Julia Ward Howe and George Washington. Prominent material types include correspondence, diaries, financial, legal and property papers, maps, photographs and poetry. The richest subject veins are anti-slavery, including the Free Produce Association of Friends, the yellow fever epidemic in Philadelphia and settlement of land in New York.

William W. Cadbury and Catharine J. Cadbury collection, 1893-1967 (inclusive)

Abstract:: The principal creators in the collection are Quakers William Warder Cadbury (1877-1959) and Catharine Jones Cadbury (1884-1970) who spent most of their lives in China. William Warder Cadbury came to China as a medical missionary in 1909.

Joseph Meyers correspondence, 1877-1924 (inclusive)

Abstract:: Joseph E. Meyers entered Westtown School at the age of 15 in November of 1873. The letters in the collection are from classmates at Westtown, discussing life events, mutual friends, and reminiscence of the Westtown days and are dated from his graduation from the school in 1877 until 1924.

"Book of Epistles of George Fox, Founder of Quakerism", 1937-1938 (inclusive)

Abstract:: These manuscripts of "Book of Epistles of George Fox, Founder of Quakerism," which was originally written in 1714 by Thomas Richardson, are typed transcripts of the original document, as compiled by Thomas Richardson's descendants, Edward Wanton Smith, Esther Morton Smith, and Anna Wharton Wood. The manuscript includes an introduction which discusses the history of Thomas Richardson's volume of the epistles of George Fox and its inheritance to subsequent generations, and provides biographical information for Thomas Richardson. Letters in the volume include those to Men and Women's Quarterly and Monthly Meetings, to Friends in Barbados, to Friends in Maryland and Virginia, and to Friends in Dublin.
