The majority of letters in the volume are written by Richard Hockley on his travels for the business interests of Thomas Hyam, a London merchant. Letters are written from a variety of locations, including Barbados, Charleston, South Carolina, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Abstract:: This collection is comprised of the papers of Isaac Proctor. The majority of the collection is composed of the personal correspondence of Proctor from the end of the 18th century, but also includes a single, small diary, and a single folder of his financial records.

There is a also a letter of Joseph Scattergood from Tunesassa, New York, telling of his work with Cornplanter's Native Americans. As well, there is a diary kept by Ann Sellers from 1853 to 1856 and a cookbook, circa 1800.

Abstract:: The majority of correspondence included is business correspondence related to Fisher's mathematics and his book, "Dial of the Seasons, or a Portraiture of Nature," on Fisher's theory of the effect of "the angles of incidence of the meridian sunlight." There are also a small number of letters of personal correspondence, generally letters of introduction for friends or family traveling to Philadelphia or New York.
