Abstract:: The commonplace book of Seiju Hirakawa inlcudes extracts of poetry and religious reflection on the occasion of the Hirakawa's 50th wedding anniversary. Excerpts and quotations are arranged by topic, and cover topics such as friendship, teachers and pupils, self-expression, books, and pride. The volume also includes a personal reflection marriage, presumably written by Hirakawa.

Abstract:: The collection consists primarily of photographs depicting various Tatum and Leeds family members, including Sarah Mickle Tatum and Lewis L. Tatum, and also Daniel Leeds and a picnic at the Joseph Sturge First Day School. In addition, there are commonplace books of Sarah M. Tatum, at least one kept while she was a student at Westtown Boarding School in Westtown, Pennsylvania, and of Lewis L. Tatum.
