Abstract:: The Yamanakas arrived in California prior to 1910, and lived on Railroad Avenue in San Francisco before moving to Cottage Grove Avenue in Chicago a decade later. The Yamanaka family photograph collection comprises 312 loose photographs, including photo postcards, of the Yamanaka family, friends, and their community in California during the 1910s-1920s. Included are a number of studio portraits as well as portraits of activities in the Bay Area, Japan, and other areas in the Americas.

Rau (1855-1920) was a prominent Philadelphia photographer and the official photographer for the St. Louis world's Fair in 1904 and of the Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition in 1905. This collection of twelve photographs from his studio at 1324 Chestnut St. in Philadelphia depicts various buildings and scenes around Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Abstract:: The photograph album of a Mexican-American Colorado family consists of over 300 images documenting the members of an extended family living in the American West over a fifty-year period, 1921-1963. Identified locations taken from captions include: Eaton, Loveland, Milliken, Denver, and Chihuahua, Mexico. Majority of the photographs are either portraits or groups shots of the family with subjects ranging from infants and toddlers to elders.

Abstract:: Paul Esnard Bechet was born July 28, 1881 and died January 3, 1962. In 1903, he received his medical degree from Tulane University. Early in his career, Bechet assisted during the yellow fever epidemic of 1905 in New Orleans. From 1909 to 1934, Bechet worked at the New York Skin and Cancer Hospital as a clinical assistant, assistant physician, and physician. In his later life, he owned a private medical practice in Elizabeth, New Jersey. The Paul E. Bechet papers consist of the personal papers of Paul Esnard Bechet, M.D. (1881-1962). These papers consist mainly of correspondence with colleagues. Also included are certificates and awards, records of his medical practice, and historical photographs.
