- Abstract:
- William J. Weller joined the Administrative Office of the United States Courts as Legislative Affairs Officer in 1976. In 1984 he was at the center of a lawsuit regarding his firing of United States Bankruptcy Judges over a dispute regarding their contract and status of employment. The lawsuit and pending legislation related to a broader dispute over the status of presidentially-appointed bankruptcy judges. Weller left the Administration Office in 1987.
