Abstract:

H. Owen Reed (1910-2014) was an American composer as well as a musician, author and music educator, serving as a professor at the Michigan State University College of Music for 37 years. This collection contains music compositions by Reed and other composers, his personal and professional correspondence, and various materials documenting and promoting his work and professional activities.
