- Abstract:
- The area of Parkland, near Langhorne in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, was turned into a summer resort in the 1890s by the Parkland Spiritualist Camp Meeting Association, an off-shoot of the First Association of Spiritualists of Philadelphia. The area remained popular as a summer resort destination for several decades before the summer homes were converted to year-round rental units. The Park Land Association was the rental organization leasing properties in the area. The Park Land Association financial records and leases, 1914-1960, include tax reports, cash books, check stubs, capital stock taxes, miscellaneous financial correspondence, cancelled checks, and leases.
