- This collection contains a letter written by Richard Carpenter that was sent to Richard Mott in September of 1849. In the letter, Carpenter expresses the sadness of not having Motts company in his previous Scarsdale Friends monthly meeting in New York. He then describes his experience of the gathering to Mott, who resides in Burlington, New Jersey.
