- Abstract:
- The Pledge of Resistance group in Albany, New York was part of an active nationwide network of grassroots organizations opposed to U.S. intervention in Central America. The Albany group was active between 1984 and 1993. Its members engaged in marches, protest demonstrations, extensive correspondence and meetings with legislators, fundraising activities, boycotts, and networking with like-minded organizations. The Albany POR produced newsletters, press releases, and leaflets. The Pledge of Resistance in Albany and the national Pledge of Resistance were dissolved in 1989.
