Established in 1958, the
Chestnut Hill Local emerged as a community forum and since has become an award-winning, independent weekly newspaper serving the neighborhood of Chestnut Hill, PA and the surrounding communities of Northwest Philadelphia. The "Chestnut Hill Local" Collection, 1960-1995, consists of photographs taken by photographers of the newspaper, as well as related clippings. It is arranged into two series: "Series I. Portraits/Headshots" and "Series II: Subject files."
