- Abstract:
- Founded in London in 1847 by German émigré Bernard Alexander Quaritch (1819–1899), Bernard Quaritch Ltd. is one of the most influential antiquarian bookselling firms in the world. Quaritch has long played an especially critical role as agent for American institutions and collectors at London auctions. This finding aid serves as a guide to the more than five hundred Quaritch catalogs and bulletins published after 1920 in the Penn Libraries' collections. The collection is especially comprehensive from the 1950s to 2000s.
