- Robert D. Martin (1944-) was appointed Chief United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Wisconsin in 1978. Martin was a charter fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and a conferee of the National Bankruptcy Conference. He was a member of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ), an organization devoted to providing to providing education and advice relating to bankruptcy legislation. Martin served on the Board of Governors of the NCBJ from 1988 to 1991, as Secretary in 1994, and as the conference's President in 1996.
