- Lansdale became a boom town during the mid-19th century when a junction of the North Pennsylvania Railroad was established where the center of the town is now located. The Borough of Lansdale was incorporated on August 24, 1872. The Lansdale Historical Society obituary collection, 1921-2012, contains original and photocopied obituaries dating from the 1880s into the 21st century, especially for individuals buried in Lansdale Cemetery.
