Abstract:
Dr. Nehemiah Robinson (1898-1964) was a lawyer, the director of the Institute of Jewish Affairs of the World Jewish Congress, and an authority on indemnification and reparations and war crimes following World War II and the persecution of the Jewish peoples. These two volumes contain eight reports written by Robinson for the Institute of Jewish Affairs relating to restitution legislation and court practices, as well as official and unofficial actions and views on reparations across the world.

Abstract:
The Abraham Anscher papers comprise a detailed narrative of an 1883-1884 expedition through southern African written by the exploring party leader, Anscher, who was a Jewish Chicago immigrant. His narrative details various places in South Africa including: Botswana, Matabeleland, the Transvaal, along the Zambezi River, and beyond. Some correspondence is also included.

Abstract:
Lynn Hardy Yeakel was born in 1941 in Portsmouth, Virginia to Representative Porter Hardy, Jr and his wife, Lynn. She graduated in 1963 from Randolph-Macon Woman's College and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She married Paul Yeakel in 1965. Lynn Yeakel has also earned a Master's of Science in Management from American College. She has launched three political campaigns: for U.S. Senate in 1992; as a candidate for the Democratic nomination for the governor of Pennsylvania in 1994; and as a Democratic candidate for Pennsylvania State Senate in 2002. Yeakel is also a long-time advocate for girls' and women's rights. She co-founded Womens Way in 1976, served as Mid-Atlantic Regional Director of the United States Department of Health and Human Services from 1994 to 2000, and has been the Director of Drexel University College of Medicine's Institute for Women's Health and Leadership since 2002. Irena Koprowska collection on American Cancer Society-Veterans Administration lung cancer screening study, 1958-1964 (inclusive)

Abstract:
Dr. Irena Grasberg Koprowska (born 1917) worked in pathology and participated in a study on the early detection and diagnosis of lung cancer: The American Cancer Society-Veterans Administration Cooperative Study for the Evaluation of Radiologic and Sputum Cytologic Screening in the Early Detection of Lung Cancer while working at Cornell University. The Irena Koprowska collection on American Cancer Society-Veterans Administration Lung Cancer Screening Study consists of correspondence, data sheets, supporting notes, and reports dating from 1958 to 1964. The collection also includes microscope slides and photographic prints of the microscope slides. The material focuses on the lung cancer screening study conducted from 1958 to 1868 by Dr. Irena Koprowska, in conjunction with Dr. George Papanicolaou’s laboratory at Cornell, where she worked before coming to Hahnemann Medical College.
