His composition book contains several essays concerning animals, historical and contemporary figures, national histories, and notes on several scientific and mathematical subjects.

Abstract:
This scrapbook contains a variety of materials from John A. Hisey Jr.'s time at Haverford College. Born in Philadelphia on October 31, 1895, to salesman John Alan Hisey Sr. and his wife Gula Hisey, John Hisey Jr. entered Haverford in 1914, as part of the class of 1918. His scrapbook documents his first three years at Haverford, especially his athletic career. The book also provides evidence of the military service that interrupted Hisey's studies in 1917, and of his return to Haverford in 1921, to finish his degree.

John Randolph Winslow commonplace book, 1836-1840 (inclusive)

The commonplace book was created while Winslow was attending Haverford College. Winslow entered the college in 1838 in the Junior class, and transcribed many songs during his time there. Handwritten notes and excerpts can be found in the songbook as well. The book ends in 1840, presumably when Winslow graduated. He later went on to become a professor, physician, and surgeon in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Ernest Bailey scrapbooks consist of nine volumes containing clippings and pictures related to Haverford College, taken from a variety of national and local newspapers. A majority of clippings and pictures pertain to Haverford athletics, although there are many others that address academic matters; the affairs of alumni, faculty, and students; and noteworthy happenings in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The scrapbook compiles materials spanning the years 1920-1933.

This collection contains a variety of documents from Haverford's Cap and Bells club. The Cap and Bells were a performance group that put on numerous shows during their time. The collection contains the group's constitution, membership document, financial reports, and meeeting minutes. Additionally, there are numerous strings of correspondence between both current members and alumni. The first box is solely foldered documents. The second box contains a folder as well as a volume. The third box only contains volumes.

Abstract:
The collection contains both technical and administrative documents written throughout the lifespan of the radio club. There is information regarding the engineering work done with the physics department to set up the signal, as well as documentation of the station's transition to FM radio and eventually digital broadcasting. Information regarding the International Broadcasting System (IBS) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the club's relationship with those bodies is also available. Additionally, there is correspondence between club members and numerous outside groups, spanning from manufacturers to the New York Times. Finally, commonplace club-level administration documents such as meetings minutes and budgets can also be found in this collection.

Letter describing the purchase of enslaved people, 1797

Abstract:
This letter is dated from Boston, Massachusetts, on April 3, 1797. It is signed by Benjamin Cobb and Benjamin Homer, both Boston residents, who owned the schooner Fair Lady. The letter is from the boat's owners and sent to the captain, Joshua Delano Jr., and Mr. Durant, a merchant. The ship was travelling from St. Croix to Havana, Cuba, to sell enslaved persons. The letter gives advice about port choice and describes the ideal type of enslaved person they should purchase in St. Croix to sell in Havana. (Information from Black Americana Collectibles)
