Abstract:: Benjamin Waife (1895–1972) was a Belarusian-born Jewish-American journalist. He is primarily known by his pen name Ben Zion Goldberg. He worked with a variety of newspapers, including Der tog (The Day); Eynikayt (Unity); Jewish Digest; and American Jewish Almanac. His best known books include The Sacred Fire : The Story of Sex in Religion and The Jewish Problem in the Soviet Union : Analysis and Solution. This collection largely documents Goldberg's professional career, through correspondence, writings, publicity, and his own research. There is some personal and family material; and material relating to his father-in-law, Yiddish humorist Sholem Aleichem, particularly via My Father,the biography Marie Waife-Goldberg (daughter of Aleichem and wife of Golberg) wrote about her father.

There are additions following Demaris' death in 1917, presumably by her daughter, Mabel Lillian Tompkins Dunton, with at least one entry dated, August 18, 1955 that memorialize the Tompkins family.

Abstract:: After the Holocaust, millions of Jewish survivors either did not wish to return to their home, could not as a result of continuing antisemitism or as a result of their homes being occupied by new tenants. As a result, 1,800 displaced persons camps opened to accomodate these refugees until they could return home or immigrate elsewhere. The Displaced persons photographs consist of 64 black and white photographs of life in at least two displaced persons camps after the Holocaust, dating from 1945 to 1946.

This collection consists of two copies of the constitution and by-laws and five minute books documenting the operation of the Germania Orchestra, dating from October 26, 1857 to May 22, 1896.

Abstract:: Allan Lee Koss (born 1943-1944) is a photographer who is known for his social documentaries. In 1976, Koss photographed an event that has been called "The 1976 Counter-Bicentennial," the Bicentennial Protest," "People's '76," and the "Battle of the Bicentennial." This protest took place in Philadelphia on July 4, at the same time as the official Bicentennial events and consisted of a parade in North Philadelphia intended to highlight the injustices suffered by portions of the American population. This collection consists of photographs of the Bicentennial Protest on July 4, 1976 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, taken by photographer Allan Lee Koss. In addition to black and white and color photographic prints, there are black and white negatives, color slides, digitized photographs, and promotional material created by Koss related to the protests.
