Abstract:: In 1968 Steven Wayne Trimm was convicted for refusing induction into the armed services and served four years prison. Trimm fled to Canada in 1969 where he lived underground until 1974. Two years later he received clemency from the U.S. government under the Earned Re-entry Program and was pardoned. Steve Trimm is the author of Walking Wounded: Men's Lives During and Since the Vietnam War (1993) and other publications. Since the 1970s Steve Trimm has also been active with various peace and anti-war organizations, including Witness for Peace.
