Abstract:
William Way (1942-1988) worked as the Executive Director of the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority and as an advocate for the Philadelphia LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community. The Bill Way collection, 1942-2004, is comprised of scrapbooks compiled by Way documenting his life, the LGBT community in Philadelphia, and City of Philadelphia redevelopment in the 1970s and 1980s. There are also materials relating to Way donated by various individuals, notably an oral history interview with Maury Lieberman.

This collection contains the records of the Woman's Club of Swarthore, founded in 1898. The Club offered women of the community a means of support and education, a place to meet and find common interests and nurtured the founding of a number of community organizations. The Club disbanded in 2002.

Abstract:
The Citizen's Council of Delaware County (Pa.) is a county-wide citizens organization concerned with studying and making suggestions for solving the physical problems caused by the growth of the county. It was created in 1957 by the merger of the Citizens' Housing and Planning Association of Delaware County (CHPA) and the Citizens' Creek Valley Association of Delaware County (CCVA). The Citizens Council of Delaware County records, 1958-1977, include correspondence, minutes, pamphlets and brochures, ephemera, newspaper clippings, newsletters, and several maps. Subjects include Tinicum Marsh, the construction of the Blue Route, landfills, recycling, and open space / Rose Tree Park.

Abstract:
The southern portion of Interstate 476, colloquially known as the "Blue Route" (also called the Mid-County Expressway), passes through the suburban Philadelphia counties of Delaware and Montgomery to connect the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike with I-95. Planning for I-476 began in the 1950s, but environmental concerns and opposition from local community groups including the Citizen's Council of Delaware County stalled construction for decades. The highway was completed in 1992 at a total cost of about $600 million. The Collection on construction of I-476, 1961-1992 (bulk 1970-1980), includes materials relating to I-476 opposition, in the form of original and copy correspondence, newspaper clippings, notes, rough meeting minutes, drafts, printed materials such as environmental impact reports, and materials relating to court hearings. Most materials seem to have been collected or created by the Citizen's Council of Delaware County or by the Radnor-Marple Blue Route...(see more)

The Suburban Horsham Willow Grove Chamber of Commerce (SHWGCC) was a civic group in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania that worked to advance the business interests of the area from about 2004 to 2008. The Suburban Horsham Willow Grove Chamber of Commerce records, 1965-2006, include administrative records from SHWGCC as well as from the two former organizations which merged to create it: the Greater Willow Grove Chamber of Commerce and the Horsham Township Chamber of Commerce.

Greater Jenkintown Chamber of Commerce records, 1962-1994 (inclusive)

Abstract:
The Jenkintown Businessmen's Association was established in 1933. Over the next several years the organization changed its name a number of times. In 1961 the group became known as the Jenkintown Chamber of Commerce. The organization marked its expanding geographical interests when it renamed itself the Greater Jenkintown Chamber of Commerce in 1968 and then the Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce in 1992. The Greater Jenkintown Chamber of Commerce records, 1962-1994, consist of Board of Directors minutes and other materials relating to the activities of the organization.
