- Haverford Township is a suburb of Philadelphia situated near the wealthy "Main Line" west of the city. It encompasses the community of Havertown and parts of Haverford, Bryn Mawr, Ardmore, Drexel Hill, and Wynnewood in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The Haverford Township Historical Society local manuscript collection, 1759-1995, consists of a variety of original manuscript materials relating to the people, organizations, and property of Haverford Township. It includes family papers, organizational records, photographs, maps and architectural drawings, deeds, tax records, a small amount of secondary-source research material, and more. Of special interest is an 1864 Civil War diary written by Charles S. Bailey.
