Abstract:: The Paul Boytinck - C.P. Snow collection is a research collection consisting of material used by bibliographer Paul Boytinck for the publication of his book C.P. Snow: A Reference Guide (1980). The collection consists of 1.3 linear feet of articles, book reviews, interviews, manuscripts, correspondence, and a videotape related to English novelist C.P. Snow spanning the dates between 1932 and 1989.

Abstract:: The M. Clark Chambers Kay Boyle collection consists of materials collected by Chambers during the fifteen year process of compiling and researching his bibliography of her work. It consists of books and periodicals containing works by Boyle, reviews of her work, interviews, and other material. A great deal of the material is in the form of photocopies. There is also a small group material pertaining to the research and composition of the bibliography as well as a small group original Boyle work and Boyle related ephemera.

Abstract:: The William A. Oliver, Jr. collection related to The Mystery of Edwin Drood comprises 10.5 linear feet of material plus oversize items dating from 1844 to 2005 and includes extensive bibliographic information relating to the works of Charles Dickens and specifically to the author's final novel The Mystery of Edwin Drood (1870), which was unfinished at the time of his death. The collection, which illuminates Oliver's activities as a collector and bibliographer, includes publications that printed original versions of the storyline, as well as various derivative works based on the novel; extensive bibliographies of editions of Dickens's works and scholarly work on Dickensiana, with a focus on Edwin Drood; and travel information and souvenirs from Dickens-related landmarks and events.

Abstract:: The Austin Dobson collection comprises approximately six linear feet plus oversize material of correspondence, manuscripts, proofs, contracts, royalty statements, artwork, photographs, wills, genealogies, periodicals, clippings, scrapbooks, copper plates, and printed ephemera. The collection documents the work and life of English author and civil servant (Henry) Austin Dobson (1840-1921) and the management of Dobson's estate and literary legacy by his youngest son, Alban Dobson (1885-1962) and his son, Christopher Dobson (1916-2005), primarily during the period between the author's death in 1921 and Alban Dobson's death in 1962.

Abstract:: The Bruce Garland collection of Thomas Wise material comprises approximately 1.6 linear feet of material pertaining to English bibliographer, book collector, and forger Thomas J. Wise (1859-1937). Much of the collection's material was compiled by English bibliographer and book collector John Carter (1905-1975), who co-authored with Graham Pollard (1903-1976) An Enquiry into the Nature of Certain Nineteenth Century Pamphlets (1934), which effectively outed Wise as a forger. The collection contains correspondence, including original correspondence of Wise's, manuscripts, page proofs, galley proofs, auction catalogs, clippings, scrapbooks, periodicals and articles, and ephemera.
