Abstract:: A typed and signed letter from English writer and anthologies editor Brian W. Aldiss to Mrs. Luan Ranzetta expressing gratitude for having sent him two of her science-fiction novels. Aldiss confirms Ranzetta's suspicion that she might be the only female science-fiction writer in Britain, while acknowledging Hilary Bailey's first story appeared in one of Britain's science-fiction magazines recently. He also mentions America's sole female science-fiction writer at the time Judy Merril, praising her work, Shadow on the Hearth, though stating that "[s]he has not done anything to rival it since."

Abstract:: The Edgar Rice Burroughs comic book collection is an artificial collection of comic books inspired by the writings of Edgar Rice Burroughs, as published by Dell Publishing Co., Marvel Comics Group, DC Comics, Western Publishing Company (Gold Key Comics), and others from 1953 to 1977. The character Tarzan is the primary focus of these comic books; a minority of the comics expand upon Burroughs's series of Mars novels. As examples of other Burroughs-inspired items, the collection also includes two records and a set of trading cards.
