Abstract:
The Delaware Oral History collection was a project of the University of Delaware History Department, directed by Dr. John Munroe and funded by Robert H. Richards, Jr.. Interviews with 317 Delawareans conducted between 1966 and 1978 cover topics including the following: educators, immigrants, journalism, politics, and the University of Delaware, Delaware in the Depression, and the 1950s relocation of Long Island and New Jersey potato farmers to Delaware.

The William H. Williams Papers, spanning the dates 1907-2006, comprise 11.6 linear feet of manuscripts, academic papers, correspondence, photographs, teaching materials, and academic research relating to the areas of study and publications of Williams, a prominent Delaware historian based in Sussex County, Delaware. The collection is divided into six series, with series III. through VI. corresponding to major subject areas studied by Williams.

New London Road/Cleveland Avenue oral histories and research materials, 2004-2006 (inclusive)

Abstract:
This collection contains 22 oral history interviews providing a wealth of information on history and culture of the New London Road/Cleveland Avenue community in Newark, Delaware. These interviews, collected during two oral history projects by University of Delaware Professor Bernard L. Herman and students from 2004-2006, feature members of the New London Road community and discuss various aspects of life in the predominantly African-American community. The collection contains transcripts of selected interviews created by students as well as research data, recipes, and galley proofs for the book "Food Always Brings People Together: recipes, poems, and stories from the New London Road community, Newark, Delaware," written by the University of Delaware Center for Material Culture Studies, under the direction of Professor Herman.

Dale E. Wolf served as lieutenant governor of Delaware (1989-1992) and briefly as governor (December 31, 1992-January 19, 1993). The Dale E. and Clarice Wolf papers and memorabilia document Wolf's military service in World War II, his early agricultural research and DuPont Company career, his political career and public service, as well as the community service of his wife, Clarice Wolf.

University of Delaware Women's Studies oral history collection, 2011-2014 (inclusive)

Abstract:
This collection consists of oral history interviews with faculty from the University of Delaware Department of Women and Gender Studies, conducted as part of the 2011 "Women at the Center" project. The interviews, mainly conducted by Professor Marie Laberge of the Women and Gender Studies Department, discuss various topics relating to the creation and development of the Women's Studies program at the University of Delaware as well as the personal experiences of each interviewee. The collection also features interviews with students from the 2012 graduating class of Women's Studies who were in Professor Laberge's Spring 2012 semester Senior Capstone class and additional interviews conducted by Professor Laberge in 2014. Each interview is accompanied by a tape log, which summarizes the topics discussed by the participants.

The Robert L. Hampel University of Delaware College of Education oral history collection holds the transcripts of eighteen interviews with fourteen faculty, staff, and administrators in the University of Delaware’s College of Education in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Five of the interviews offer the recollections of Frank B. Murray, who joined the College in 1969 and served as Dean from 1979 to 1995. Several transcripts include attachments written by the respondents.

Established in 1867 as the first documented public school for African-American youth in the Newark, Delaware, community, the school and its surrounding property were also an important social and recreational meeting place for neighborhood residents.
