Abstract:
The L. Eudora Pettigrew papers document the academic and professional career of Dr. L. Eudora Pettigrew (b. 1928), the first African American to hold a position in central administration at the University of Delaware and the first black female president of the SUNY system. The collection chronicles over sixty years of her life as a student, educator, administrator, and global emissary. Spanning the dates 1900 to 2012, the collection also offers insight into the lives of three generations of Pettigrew's family, for whom education and scholarship were clearly valued.

The Brian Phelan papers document forty years of the literary career of Irish-born playwright and screenwriter Brian Phelan (born 1934). The collection, which spans from the 1960s to the 2000s, comprises Phelan's working and project files and include correspondence, screenplays, scripts, contracts, photographs, and research.

The Michael von Uchtrup collection of Jonathan Williams correspondence and ephemera details the relationship that developed between Williams and von Uchtrup in the 1990s and provides insight into Williams's publishing career, writing, travels, and daily life.

Abstract:
Zephyrus Image, founded by Holbrook Teter and Michael Myers, was a small Northern California press operating from approximately 1969-1983, notable for its socially- and politically-subversive books and ephemera and its fine works on paper. The Zephyrus Image records document the activities of the California press and its proprietors and the planning and development of roughly 300 printed works of poetry and political and satirical books and ephemera. Zephyrus Image projects were created for and in collaboration with a host of literary and artistic figures, including Edward Dorn, Tom Raworth, William T. Wiley, Lucia Berlin, Stan Brakhage, and Robert Creeley.

Harold Brayman (1900-1988), a political journalist and former director of the Public Relations Department of Du Pont Company for 21 years, helped establish a concept of public relations which was widely emulated throughout the United States. The Harold Brayman papers supplement, spanning from 1914-1992, contains substantial editions to the original collection, documenting Brayman's dual careers in the fields of journalism and public relations. The collection includes correspondence, memoranda, press releases, speeches, newspaper clippings and articles, photographs, memorabilia and books.
