The bulk of the collection comprises correspondence and materials from Charrière's artist friends and colleagues.

Abstract:: Martha L. Carothers is a book artist and professor of Art and Design at the University of Delaware specializing in graphic design and book arts. The Martha L. Carothers student artists' books collection comprises over 500 artists' books created by students of Martha Carothers' ART 309 course at the University of Delaware from 1983 to 2016. The collection documents thirty-four years of student projects in the application of book-arts concepts and techniques.

Abstract:: Zephyrus Image, founded by Holbrook Teter and Michael Myers, was a small Northern California press operating from approximately 1969-1983, notable for its socially- and politically-subversive books and ephemera and its fine works on paper. The Zephyrus Image records document the activities of the California press and its proprietors and the planning and development of roughly 300 printed works of poetry and political and satirical books and ephemera. Zephyrus Image projects were created for and in collaboration with a host of literary and artistic figures, including Edward Dorn, Tom Raworth, William T. Wiley, Lucia Berlin, Stan Brakhage, and Robert Creeley.
