- G. Holmes Perkins became Dean of the School of Fine Arts in 1951 succeeding George Simpson Koyl. He served in that capacity through to 1971, overseeing changes in the curriculum and structure of the School in the second half of the twentieth century. The Records for G. Holmes Perkins tenure as dean of the School of Design reflect the administrative and academic activities of the school from about 1950 to 1965.
